Getting there
From Capo d'Orlando climb towards Naso and Galati Mamertino, about 40 minutes of bends. From the village follow the signed road; the last stretch is unpaved but fine for a normal car. From the car park the trail drops to the stream.
The trail
Short but downhill on the way in — which means the return is all uphill, in the heat. Rocky, damp ground near the fall, slippery: shoes with real tread, not flip-flops.
The swim
The pool is ice-cold all year and deep: it's not a managed pool, there are no lifeguards and no one monitors the flow. After heavy rain the stream swells fast — if the water is cloudy, look and leave it.
When
April–June has the best flow. In August the fall shrinks considerably; after the first autumn rains it's spectacular again.
